THE disgraceful use of children as “climate leaders” and tools of climate change propaganda, summed up by the excellent Brendon O’Neill, on his coverage of 16 year-old Greta Thunberg…
“Young people, Ms Thunberg isn’t your leader. She’s a patsy for scared and elitist adults. Don’t do as she says. Instead, refuse to panic, mock the blather about hellfire, and appreciate that mankind’s transformation of the planet has been a glorious thing that has expanded life expectancy, allowed billions to live in cities, and made it possible for even the less well-off to travel the globe.” The cult of Greta Thunberg – spiked
NOW, extend those same sentiments to “3-year old” babies … !
WE really are living in the age of climate change aka global warming insanity and wilful child abuse…
By Paul Homewood
h/t A Norwich Tory
It was bad enough listening to a 16-year old lecturing us on climate change, but now they are even indulging babies!
Around 20 home-educated youngsters from across the county, aged between three and eight years old, presented handwritten letters to City Hall councillors to express their concerns on climate change,
Mum Toyah Dye, 38, from East Runton, said the children were inspired by the recent demonstrations of the environmental movement Extinction Rebellion and also of David Attenborough’s Our Planet, which highlighted the effects of climate change in the natural world.
Ms Dye said the children were particularly struck by a scene in the series which showed walruses in Russia climbing and falling from a cliff due to the retreating sea ice.
“I was watching Our Planet with my children and the walruses made us really sad,” Ms Dye said. “So I asked my…

Britain’s gone nine days with almost no wind generation, and forecasts show the calm conditions persisting for another two weeks.
The wind drought has pushed up day-ahead power prices to the highest level for the time of year for at least a decade. Apart from a surge expected around June 14, wind levels are forecast to stay low for the next fortnight, according to The Weather Company.
“People would’ve started worrying about brownouts,” Elchin Mammadov, analyst at Bloomberg Intelligence said. “This shows that relying on wind, solar and batteries to supply the majority of our power is reckless for energy security.”
On Wednesday, wind generated about 4.3 percent of the U.K.’s electricity. Coal output has dropped near zero. Gas and nuclear have picked up the slack with 54 percent and 25 percent respectively, according to data from National Grid Plc.
The weather can be fickle and the government has to make sure that there is enough back up generation for times when the wind isn’t blowing. Greg Clark, secretary of state for business energy and industrial strategy announced Monday that the U.K. will take the next step toward agreeing to help Hitachi Ltd. finance a new nuclear reactor.
THE wind blowing everywhere but the UK! LOL…
UNRLIABLES – insanity on stilts.
UPDATE – Energy Poverty Australia
“In all, subsidies for wind power and standby will be costing the country more than £7bn a year, equivalent to about £270 per household.”
SKYROCKETING power bills, energy poverty and the decimation of pristine landscapes, all to feed the egos of climate theory obsessed politicians and line the pockets of rent-seeking, subsidy-sucking mega-green corporations.
CO2 reductions for all this pain? ZERO, actually increased emissions as more fossil-fuel energy sources are needed to cover for the times when the wind don’t blow and the sun don’t shine! 🤦♂️
STUDIES: Wind Power Installation Amplifies The Growth Of Fossil Fuel Energies https://shar.es/anXezw
It takes a ‘special’ kind of person to still believe that a country can run itself on sunshine and breezes.
Idolatry, zealotry, and good old-fashioned pig ignorance are worn like badges of honour amongst the wind and sun cult.
Claims range from the ‘wind is always blowing somewhere’, ‘wind power is cheaper than coal’, and ‘competitive’ with everything under the sun blah, blah, blah.
Another mantra is that, either wind power receives no subsidies at all or, if that’s grudgingly conceded, then the subsidies to wondrous wind dwarf those shoveled out to evil fossil fuels. (On the latter they struggle to come up with a shred of evidence to support their case, and ignore the fact that coal miners and gas extractors and pay very substantial sums in royalties to governments.)
True it is that the manner in which subsidies are filched from unwitting power consumers and siphoned off to…

Meanwhile, in the UK, 48,000 succumb to the record cold winter of 2017/18. https://climatism.wordpress.com/2018/04/08/runaway-global-warming-update-48000-brits-dead-after-worst-winter-in-42-years/
With that in mind, we really do live in a bizarre world when totally avoidable deaths of thousands of Brits due to ‘extreme’ cold are superseded by trillion pound virtue-signalling climate policies, passed without a blink, designed to prevent a supposed 1-2 degree warming by 2100!?
Welcome to the regrettable age of collective eco-madness.

Booker “celebrates” the 10th anniversary of the Climate Change Act!
There could be no better example of how those in the grip of groupthink tend to float ever further off into make-believe than a recent article by Claire Perry, our new Minister of State for Energy. She was celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Climate Change Act, the one which committed Britain, uniquely in the world, to an 80 per cent cut in our CO2 emissions by 2050 (once described by Nick Timothy, Theresa May’s former joint chief of staff as a “monstrous act of self-harm”).
Perry boasted that this “ground-breaking Act has been absolutely instrumental in advancing climate action globally over the past decade”, and is now inspiring other nations “to follow in our footsteps”. She went on to say that “trillions of pounds of private sector capital… will be needed to be deployed if we…

AMUSES me every time: fossil fuels needed to reduce fossil fuel emissions to meet anti-fossil fuel Paris commitments. 🤦♂️
By Paul Homewood
Bit by bit, some reality appears to be intruding into the make believe world of the Climate Change Act:
No credible scenario’ exists for hitting the UK’s 2050 decarbonisation targets without continued reliance on gas, the National Grid has warned.
In a new report, entitled The Future of Gas: How gas can support a low carbon future’, the grid says that it is not feasible to switch over to electric heating on the scale required to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to 80 per cent of 1990 levels by the middle of this century.
To fill the gap required to meet peak heating demand during the winter with electricity would require a seven-fold increase in generation capacity.
It says that while electricity demand currently peaks at around 60 GW, up to 350 GW of electricity would be required during winter cold snaps.
“Electrifying heating would therefore require enormous…

After a brief mild spell, temperatures are set to dip again in April after the chilliest March in 21 years.
It is estimated that 20,275 Brits more than average died between December 1 and March
An additional 2,000 deaths more than average were expected due to cold conditions between March 23 and 31, this winter’s average death rates show.
Campaigners have called the deaths a “national tragedy” as cold weather victims fatalities could be prevented – especially in the elderly.
RIP the 48,000 Brits who have succumbed to the deadly cold of 2018.
A few things come to mind that piss-me-off owing to this tragic loss of life that was and is entirely avoidable, if not for a climate of CO2-centric-global-warming-zealotry from our most trusted ‘experts’:
- NOAA and NASA GISS’ fabricated global temperature graphs are a deadly scandal.
- Trenberth’s “missing heat” is a lie.
- The Climate Crisis Industries “Hottest Year(s) Evah” meme is dangerous. Not only because it tells us everything about ‘global warming’ marketing and nothing about actual “science”. But, tragically, it portends that ‘extreme’ cold, and snow is apparently ‘a thing of the past‘. Clearly the opposite is true with respect to the past five record cold NH winters and winter snowpack data trending upwards.
- The ideological ‘denial’ by the CO2-centric Climate Crisis Industry that *the Sun* is a minor player in the climate system is a dangerous and deadly lie.
- The worldwide implementation of TRILLION dollar overarching climate change policies are causing far more harm to people’s lives and the environment, right now, than any supposed 1-2C temp rise could ever do by 2100.
Politicians mad with global warming theory have implemented costly green schemes that have made power prices skyrocket making electricity a luxury the very poor cannot afford in winter – the deadliest of seasons.
WHO are the real “deniers”?

NOT to mention the shocking admission by the wind industry chief that England is not even windy enough! 🤦♂️
“Sooner or later everyone sits down to a banquet of consequences.” – Robert Louis Stevenson

Wind turbines near the village of Bothel in Cumbria.
Anyone who lives in England knows just how ubiquitous wind farms now are across the countryside.
So it might come as a surprise to learn just how little power they actually produce.
The Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy has now published the detailed data for 2016. It shows that onshore wind farms in England produced only 5.7 TWh, out of a total generation in England of 241.8 TWh.
In other words, the princely amount of 2%.
Can anybody say it has been worth all of the bother?
“…for the last month, solar power has been running at a tiny 4% of its capacity, with many days well below this.”
Unreliables. Enough said.
By Paul Homewood
Wait till the Health & Safety Stasi see this!
The renewable lobby would like you to believe that solar power is an important part of our future energy strategy.
But they don’t tell you just how little power is produced during winter months, at the time when demand is at its peak.

Let’s hope other scenic but corrupted areas take up the baton to get more of these ridiculous industrial eyesores removed from our natural environment.
A dozen 140ft wind turbines on the edge of the Lake District are due to be dismantled next summer after a decision which could result in many more being removed to restore views, reports the GWPF (from The Times).
The wind farm on Kirkby Moor on the Furness peninsula in Cumbria would be the first large one to be taken down since they began appearing around Britain in 1991.
South Lakeland district council refused an application by the wind farm operator to keep the turbines operating for another ten years until 2027.
