“We’ve got to ride this global warming issue.
Even if the theory of global warming is wrong,
we will be doing the right thing in terms of economic and environmental policy.“

OVER the past month a staggering 8,742 cold temperature records were set in the United States.
the U.S. busted a staggering 8,742 low temperature records over the past 30 days, compared with just the 1,832 maximum ones — 7,361 of those were new daily record-lows — 1,378 were new monthly record-lows for October — while 3 were all-time record lows; temps never-before observed during any month of the year. And further to all that, a total of 1288 snowfall records were also toppled over the past 30 days.
THE 2013 UN IPCC report (AR5) claimed with at least 95 percent certainty that human activities – chiefly the burning of fossil fuels – are the main cause of warming since the 1950s.
NASA concurs …
“The current warming trend is of particular significance because most of it is extremely likely (greater than 95 percent probability) to be the result of human activity since the mid-20th century and proceeding at a rate that is unprecedented over decades to millennia.”
THERE is no statistical difference between the two trends.
ERGO, whatcaused the exact same rate of warming in the first part of the 20th Century?

CONCLUSION
THE sheer abundance of cold records, including 3all-time record lows (temps never-before observed during any month of the year) and 1288 snowfall records, set in the age of “The Hottest Year Evahh” suggests the existence of a ‘control knob’ far more potent than CO2. Shock horror.
CO2-centric, climate change extremists need to explain what that rogue ‘control knob’ is before they sell us more wealth-destroying windmills and mirrors …
Thickness Of The Ice Sheets Compared With Modern Skylines
THE Laurentide Ice Sheet was a massive sheet of ice that covered millions of square kilometers, including most of Canada and a large portion of the northern United States.
THE last advance covered most of northern North America between 95,000 and 20,000 years ago.
THIS ice sheet was the primary feature of the Pleistocene epoch in North America, commonly referred to as the ice age. It was up to 2 mi (3.2 km) thick in Nunavik, Quebec, Canada.
PRIOR to the intervention of humans – when the climate was ‘stable’ – Chicago was buried under a mile of ice :
The maximum extent of glacial ice in the north polar area during the Pleistocene period included the vast Laurentide ice sheet in eastern North America.

SNOWPACK
IN order for glaciers and ice sheets to form, they require lots of snow to fall.
THIS is how a non-activist (real) expert explains the record snowfalls that have persisted over the past decade :
VETERAN METEOROLOGIST Barry Burbank :
“INTERESTINGLY, some scientists have stated that increasing snow is consistent with climate change because warmer air holds more moisture, more water vapor and this can result in more storms with heavy precipitation. The trick, of course, is having sufficient cold air to produce that snow. But note that 93% of the years with more than 60″ of snow in Boston were colder than average years. The reality is cooling, not warming, increases snowfall.” – Veteran meteorologist Barry Burbank
ELECTROVERSE – the excellent site “Documenting Earth Changes As We Enter A Grand Solar Minimum” reports on this weeks record snowfalls in Chicago. Snowfalls that demonstrate Mother Nature is doing her best to not only bury the failed Global Warming theory, but to perhaps return The Windy City to the Pleistocene epoch and the era of the mile-high Laurentide ice sheet!
This Week Saw one of the Worst November Snowstorms to Ever Hit the Chicago Area – Electroverse
THIS WEEK SAW ONE OF THE WORST NOVEMBER SNOWSTORMS TO EVER HIT THE CHICAGO AREA
“One of the largest November storms on record dumped as much as 13 inches (33 cm) of snow on the Chicago area Sunday into Monday,” says the Chicago Tribune.
The storm, which all by itself made this the sixth-snowiest November in Chicago history, jammed the morning commute.
It forced the cancellation of more than 1,200 flights.
It shut hundreds of schools.
And it knocked out power to more than 340,000 homes and businesses.

But AGW meant less snow, right? That’s what we were told?
Well we’re watching yet another narrative shift as the reality changes — the first was the re-branding of Global Warming to Climate Change, and the latest is that a warming world means we should now expect more snowfall, not less.
That’s right, apparently our baking planet will now witness more record cold temperatures, blizzards and early season snow.
I call bullshit.
And I call you a moron if you’re buying this tripe, because it’s so obviously the sun.
We’ve known the mechanism for decades, as this article from 1975’s Science News explains:
Meridional Circulation
It’s all cyclical.
And as our star continues its decline into this next Grand Solar Minimum, a cooling globe will become ever-more apparent — and ever-harder for the UN to cover up.
But they’ll no doubt give it a bash, they’ve been doing it for decades after-all.
Back in 1989 the UN came out with this: “entire nations could be wiped off the face of the Earth by rising sea levels if the global warming trend is not reversed by the year 2000.
“Governments have a 10-year window of opportunity to solve the greenhouse effect before it goes beyond human control.
“As the warming melts polar icecaps, ocean levels will rise by up to three feet, enough to cover the Maldives and other flat island nations.”
Just how many dire tipping points and deadlines have passed since 1989, and how many more need to come and go before populations fully wake?
“It’s an epic fraud. The sun is again shutting down. Prepare for the cold times.”
UNFORTUNATELY, we at Climatism agree. Substantial real-world evidence points toward global cooling, not global warming, as the overheated UN climate models shamelessly foretell:
Warming fears are the “worst scientific scandal in the history…When people come to know what the truth is, they will feel deceived by science and scientists.” – UN IPCC Japanese Scientist Dr. Kiminori Itoh, an award-winning PhD environmental physical chemist.
“I am a skeptic…Global warming has become a new religion.” – Nobel Prize Winner for Physics, Ivar Giaever.

STARS similar to our Sun — “solar proxies” — enable scientists to look through a window in time to see the harsh conditions prevailing in the early or future Solar System, as well as in planetary systems around other stars. These studies could lead to profound insights into the origin of life on Earth and reveal how likely (or unlikely) the rise of life is elsewhere in the cosmos. This work has revealed that the Sun rotated more than ten times faster in its youth (over four billion years ago) than today generating a stronger magnetic field and stronger activity. This also meant that the young Sun emitted X-rays and ultraviolet radiation up to several hundred times stronger than the Sun does today.
Snowfall will become “a very rare and exciting event.”

THE planet’s “climate control knob” – CO2 – dumps a load of fresh global warming on the South African Savannah.
THE Guardian reports with no mention of “CLIMATE CHANGE”!?
ALAS, every organisation has rules and a code of conduct. The Guardian’s is easy…
HOT = CLIMATE
COLD = WEATHER
Spotted: giraffes in the snow

Animals more used to desert heat have been photographed enjoying the snow after a cold front brought snowfall to parts of South Africa over the weekend.
Giraffes, antelope, rhinoceroses and elephants were photographed in icy conditions around South Africa, in pictures shared widely on social media.

Kitty Viljoen captured elephants enjoying the snow in the Sneeuberg – which translates to Snow Mountain – on the Western Cape of South Africa, where snow set in late last week. She also photographed giraffes in snow in the Karoo semi-desert region.
Antelope on the Glen Harry Game reserve in Graaff-Reinet, Eastern Cape, were also pictured surrounded by icy vegetation.
Snowfall across parts of South Africa late last week prompted the department of transport to close roads across the Eastern Cape due to slippery conditions.
The snow also hit the Western Cape, where temperatures dropped below zero across parts of Cederberg, the Hex River Mountains and the Matroosberg Reserve.

A weather forecast for the weekend, produced by Snow Report South Africa, shows snowfalls in the Northern, Western and Eastern Cape, as well as in the state of Kwazulu-Natal, with some areas receiving more than 25cm of snow across three days.
Lesotho, which is an independent country surrounded by South Africa, was due to receive the heaviest covering of snow, with roughly two-thirds of the country predicted to receive snowfall.
Snowfalls are not infrequent across parts of South Africa during the winter, though this cold snap comes late in the season. In July, parts of the country were blanketed after several days of heavy snowfall.
AND, before the new-NASA-activists rewrote climate ‘science’, the National Aeronautics Space Agency boldly (and correctly) noted that “Other important forcings of Earth’s climate system” such as “clouds, airborne particulate matter, and surface brightness [have] the capacity to exceed the warming influence of greenhouse gases and cause our world to cool.”
FROM the above NASA article that disappeared around 2010 :
WHAT ARE THE PRIMARY FORCINGS OF THE EARTH SYSTEM?
The Sun is the primary forcing of Earth’s climate system. Sunlight warms our world. Sunlight drives atmospheric and oceanic circulation patterns. Sunlight powers the process of photosynthesis that plants need to grow. Sunlight causes convection which carries warmth and water vapor up into the sky where clouds form and bring rain. In short, the Sun drives almost every aspect of our world’s climate system and makes possible life as we know it.
Earth’s orbit around and orientation toward the Sun change over spans of many thousands of years. In turn, these changing “orbital mechanics” force climate to change because they change where and how much sunlight reaches Earth. Thus, changing Earth’s exposure to sunlight forces climate to change. According to scientists’ models of Earth’s orbit and orientation toward the Sun indicate that our world should be just beginning to enter a new period of cooling — perhaps the next ice age.
However, a new force for change has arisen: humans. After the industrial revolution, humans introduced increasing amounts of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, and changed the surface of the landscape to an extent great enough to influence climate on local and global scales. By driving up carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere (by about 30 percent), humans have increased its capacity to trap warmth near the surface.
Other important forcings of Earth’s climate system include such “variables” as clouds, airborne particulate matter, and surface brightness. Each of these varying features of Earth’s environment has the capacity to exceed the warming influence of greenhouse gases and cause our world to cool. For example, increased cloudiness would give more shade to the surface while reflecting more sunlight back to space. Increased airborne particles (or “aerosols”) would scatter and reflect more sunlight back to space, thereby cooling the surface. Major volcanic eruptions (such as that of Mt. Pinatubo in 1992) can inject so much aerosol into the atmosphere that, as it spreads around the globe, it reduces sunlight and cause Earth to cool. Likewise, increasing the surface area of highly reflective surface types, such as ice sheets, reflects greater amounts of sunlight back to space and causes Earth to cool.
Scientists are using NASA satellites to monitor all of the aforementioned forcings of Earth’s climate system to better understand how they are changing over time, and how any changes in them affect climate.
LAST week we analysed the profound effect that the Sun has on Earth’s climate and the sinister reasons as to why the Climate Crisis Industry almost completely dismisses it as having any effect on climate and weather:
THROUGH the forensic lens of Tony Heller’s excellent research, let’s take a deeper dive into the ‘conveniently’ dismissed nuclear-powered giant in the sky that has the ability to generate temperature swings of 40 degrees centigrade on any given day. And whose light, that takes 8 minutes and 20 seconds to reach Earth, delivers enough energy in one hour to power the world economy for an entire year! Read the rest of this entry »
THE Sun has surface area is 11,990 times that of the Earth’s. Its diameter is around 1,392,000 kilometres (865,000 miles), about 110 times wider than Earth’s.
THE mass of the Sun is approximately 330,000 times greater than that of Earth. You can fit 1.3 million earths into it.
THE Sun contains 99.86% of the mass in the Solar System.
THE Sun generates huge amounts of energy by combining hydrogen nuclei into helium. This process is called nuclear fusion.
THE Sun’s surface temperature is 5,500 °C.
THE Sun’s core is around 13600000 degrees Celsius.
LIGHT from the Sun reaches Earth in 8 minutes and 20 seconds.
THE Aurora Borealis and Aurora Australis are caused by the interaction of solar winds with Earth’s atmosphere. The solar wind is contains charged particles such as electrons and protons. They escape the Sun’s intense gravity because of their high kinetic energy and the high temperature of the Sun’s corona (a type of plasma atmosphere that extends into space).

ALL that power and life-sustaining magnificence! And yet, the Sun is completely dismissed as a key driver of climate by the climate crisis industry. Why? Because, you cannot control the Sun, therefore you would be laughed out of town if you tried to tax voters for climate changes or weather extremes caused by the Sun.
THEREFORE, your lifestyle and emissions are to blame – CO2 the patsy – tax away and obey!
“Scientists now claim that a 0.0001 mole fraction increase in CO2 over the past century controls the climate. This is because the Sun can’t be controlled, scientists can’t pretend they know how to prevent bad weather, and politicians can’t use sunspots as an excuse to raise taxes and control energy policy.” – Tony Heller
“Over the time-scale of millions of years, the change in solar intensity is a critical factor influencing climate (e.g., ice ages). However, changes in the rate of solar heating over the last century cannot account for the magnitude of the rise in global mean temperature since the late 1970s.” – Union Of Concerned Scientists
BIAS BY OMISSION
WHAT the “Union Of Concerned Scientists” won’t show you is that there have been similar warming periods of equal magnitude before the era of ‘human emissions’…
THE 2013 UN IPCC report claimed with at least 95 percent certainty that human activities – chiefly the burning of fossil fuels – are the main cause of warming since the 1950s.
“Drafts seen by Reuters of the study by the U.N. panel of experts, due to be published next month, say it is at least 95 percent likely that human activities – chiefly the burning of fossil fuels – are the main cause of warming since the 1950s.”
RIP the 48,000 Brits who have succumbed to the deadly cold of 2018.
A few things come to mind that piss-me-off owing to this tragic loss of life that was and is entirely avoidable, if not for a climate of CO2-centric-global-warming-zealotry from our most trusted ‘experts’:
The Climate Crisis Industries “Hottest Year(s) Evah” meme is dangerous. Not only because it tells us everything about ‘global warming’ marketing and nothing about actual “science”. But, tragically, it portends that ‘extreme’ cold, and snow is apparently ‘a thing of the past‘. Clearly the opposite is true with respect to the past five record cold NH winters and winter snowpack data trending upwards.
The ideological ‘denial’ by the CO2-centric Climate Crisis Industry that *the Sun* is a minor player in the climate system is a dangerous and deadly lie.
The worldwide implementation of TRILLION dollar overarching climate change policies are causing far more harm to people’s lives and the environment, right now, than any supposed 1-2C temp rise could ever do by 2100.
The UN, IPCC and 97% of all global warming alarmist scientists and politicians, believe that the sun plays *no* role, at all, in ‘climate change’.
They believe colourless, odourless, plant food ‘CO2’ is the ultimate “climate control knob”.
But I would have you believe that too if I wanted to control the use of your cheap, reliable and efficient carbon based energy supply, of which, the number one byproduct is of course ….. CO2.

“In fact global warming has stopped and a cooling is beginning. No climate model has predicted a cooling of the Earth – quite the contrary. And this means that the projections of future climate are unreliable,” writes Henrik Svensmark.
The star that keeps us alive has, over the last few years, been almost free of sunspots, which are…
