MASS Die-Off Of Sea Creatures Follows Freezing UK Weather

IF this mass die-off of sea-creatures happened due to a heatwave, the misanthropic Guardian and climate activists the world over would be blaming evil mankind personkind and calling for immdediate “climate action”.

NOT a single mention of “climate change” in the article, because in the cherry-picked, pseudoscientific world of global warming climate change science: COLD = WEATHER and HOT = CLIMATE!

8 INCHES Of Catastrophic Global Warming Cooks Dutch Canals

PEOPLE in the Netherlands have been making the most of the freezing weather by ice skating over the country’s famous and now frozen canals.

This week’s ‘Beast From The East’ winter storm caused some of the canals in Amsterdam to freeze over for the first time in six years.

The ice on Amsterdam’s historic Prinsengracht canal was thick enough for residents to lace up their skates and glide across as others played ice hockey and tourists without skates slid on the ice, taking selfies.

“It’s just cool. You can go fast and you see the world from a slightly different perspective,” said skater Noldus Reijnders.

Despite measures taken by Dutch authorities to help the ice develop, there were still some holes and parts of the canal weren’t frozen at all. Reijnders was wearing a special red ice pick around his neck just in case. “If you sink through the ice — and there are still a few dangerous places — you can pull yourself out,” he said.

LIFE Inside The Global Warming Bubble

AT the beginning of the Century we were told by Dr David Viner – fmr senior activist scientist at the UEA’s climatic research unit (CRU) – that Snowfall would become “a very rare and exciting event,” and that “Children just aren’t going to know what snow is.

SINCE Viner’s epic fail in 2000, the global temperature dial has been stubbornly stuck on Pause, with some of the ‘snowiest’ and coldest winters on record occurring over the same period, despite record and rising CO2 emissions…

2018 has been no exception with extreme cold and record snowfalls affecting vast areas of the Northern Hemisphere with rare snow touching down in areas as far south as Southern Morocco, and the Sahara desert. We’ve even seen sharks frozen to death on the shores of Cape Cod, and Iguanas frozen solid in Florida!

ALL this happening in the years that climate activists scientists tell us are the “Hottest Evah“.

IT would appear Mother Nature is speaking a different language to that of her warmist subjects living life inside the bubble of man-made global warming hysteria!

UK is currently under siege from an epic Siberian cold front dubbed the “Beast from the east”…

ANTICIPATING the negative impact the “beast from the east” might have on the global warming narrative, the mainstream media has gone into full propaganda mode churning out numerous reports dismissing the sub-zero extremes on…you guessed it, “global warming”!

THIS actual headline from The Guardian’s resident climate catastrophist, George Monbiot, particularly mind-blowing…

IN the post-modern era of climate ‘science’ COLD = HOT…

THE counter-claim by climate activists scientists like Vladimir Petoukhov of the Potsdam Institute is that shrinking Arctic sea ice “could triple the probability of cold winter extremes in Europe and northern Asia”. The well-orchestrated claim jumped on and circulated by the activist press…

THIS is all a rehash of the junk science originally promoted by Jennifer Francis in 2014

THE other Hot-off-the-press weather event circulated by the media, in order to divert attention away from the brutal cold, has been the apparent “unprecedented” warmth in the Arctic. A claim expertly debunked by Paul Homewood in this must read post: Arctic Alarmists Hit New Records Of Hysteria | NOT A LOT OF PEOPLE KNOW THAT

MEANWHILE, as the climate mafia propagandisers inside their COLD = HOT bubble, the other conveniently forgotten pole, Antarctica, continues its long 40 year+ cooling trend, gaining ice mass despite record and rising CO2 levels and claims of The Hottest Years Evah

From the abstract:

Mass changes of the Antarctic ice sheet impact sea-level rise as climate changes, but recent rates have been uncertain. Ice, Cloud and land Elevation Satellite (ICESat) data (2003–08) show mass gains from snow accumulation exceeded discharge losses by 82 ± 25 Gt a−1, reducing global sea-level rise by 0.23 mm a−1.

Mass gains of the Antarctic ice sheet exceed losses | Journal of Glaciology | Cambridge Core

Roger Tallbloke with a final word that makes a lot more sense than the pseudoscientific, HOT = COLD, bubble-world of global warming climate change activists…

The role of the lowest solar cycle for at least a century is mostly ignored by believers in man-made global warming. There are signs of climate change, but not necessarily the kind they expect.

LIVING Life With “Atmosphere Cancer”

Niagara Falls Frozen | ACSU Buffalo.jpgNiagara Falls frozen | USA Today

RENOWNED marketing expert Seth Godin suggested in a recent interview with Business Insider that “Atmosphere Cancer” would be a far more engaging term to promote climate action, than “Global Warming” or “Climate Change”…

Call it atmosphere cancer

The solution to global warming then, in Godin’s playbook, comes down to simple storytelling. Instead of “letting scientists poorly tell a story with lots of qualifiers in it”, Godin says, storytellers should craft a message that resonates on a personal level.

Seth Godin: Here’s why storytelling solves global warming – Business Insider Nordic

ASSUMING that Godin’s insensitive term “atmosphere cancer” refers to the warming effect that human carbon dioxide emissions purportedly have on the atmosphere, let’s see what stage Godin’s cancer is at in the era of the propagandised “Hottest Year Evah“…

FOR the second time in two years, winter has come once again to the dunes. In some parts of the Sahara, the snow was as deep as 15 inches. Prior to that, the Sahara had not seen snow since 1979 during the years of the “global cooling” scare.

Scientists Get Buried In Snow At Davos While Lecturing On Global Warming

Scientists have once again set up a mock Arctic base camp to educate world leaders about man-made global warming at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

Climate scientists hope their mock camp illustrates how global warming could impact the Arctic, but the “Gore effect” may make it harder to get the message across. Davos has seen frigid temperatures along with about six feet of snow in the last six days.

SNOW in Paris has closed the Eiffel Tower after six inches fell overnight and temperatures fell as low as -10C with adverse weather spreads across France and the UK.

The iconic landmark has been closed for all visitors since Tuesday as the government struggles to cope with the “exceptional” situation.

A spokesperson for the Interior Ministry said: “2,500 police, firefighters, gendarmes SNCF and RATP staff are mobilised around the Île-de-France region to get things back to normal as soon as possible.”

Heavy snow is very unusual in Paris, when there is snow, it is usually a dusting.

Temperatures plummet to -37C as US is hit by record Arctic freeze

Temperatures have plummeted to -37C as the US Midwest and Northeast is hit by a record Arctic blast.

Cold weather records were set from Arkansas to Maine on Thursday and the freezing air is expected to last through the weekend and reach as far south as Texas and the Florida Panhandle.

In New Hampshire, the cold set a record for the day of -37C on Mount Washington.

An investigation has been launched by the humane society after a dog was found “frozen solid” on the porch of a home in Toledo, Ohio.

It’s so cold in the US that sharks are freezing to death

In Massachusetts, the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy found three thresher sharks washed up in Cape Cod, “stranded due to cold shock,” which can cause cardiac arrest in animals.

The conservancy collected tissue samples from the sharks that will be examined “once they thaw.”

“We hauled the shark off the beach and it is currently thawing at NOAA Fisheries Service to be dissected later,” the group wrote on Facebookabout the latest shark discovery. “A true sharkcicle!”

Temperatures across the province dropped to record lows last month, as frigid air continues to hover over the region for longer than expected.

Global News meteorologist Ross Hull explained that 2018 has been the coldest Jan. 1 on record in the Niagara Falls area, with temperatures dipping below -26 C.

“That is well below average, considering the normal overnight/morning low should be closer to -7 C,” Hull said. “The high temperature on New Year’s Eve was also well below average with a daytime high close to -15 C.”

Alligators seen frozen in North Carolina pond with snouts above water to survive record low temperatures

Those visiting frozen swamps in North Carolina a few days ago would have seen a very strange sight – alligator snouts poking out of the icy ponds, with their bodies frozen below.

Although the creatures were as still as if they were dead, experts have assured the public that this is simply how alligators survive in unexpectedly cold weather.

A “bomb cyclone” hit the East Coast of the US last week, dumping snow as far south as Florida, and causing usually relatively warm and humid swamps to face icy temperatures.

In Florida, iguanas are freezing and falling out of trees

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (AP) — It’s so cold in Florida that iguanas are falling from their perches in suburban trees.

Temperatures dipped below 40 degrees Fahrenheit (5 degrees Celsius) early Thursday in parts of South Florida, according to the National Weather Service in Miami.

That’s chilly enough to immobilize green iguanas common in Miami’s suburbs.

Frozen crops mean salad days are over

A drought and cold weather in southern Spain have caused lettuce yields to fall by a quarterFRANCISCO BONILLA/REUTERS

Britain could be heading for a salad crisis after a cold snap in the Spanish region that produces iceberg lettuces, industry experts have warned.

The freeze in southern Spain has caused crops to fail and wholesale prices to soar. Importers are trying to secure alternative sources but there may not be enough to avoid shortages at supermarkets.

Last year bad weather affected a variety of winter and summer vegetables, leading to empty shelves in British supermarkets.

This year the cold snap has hit the Spanish regions of Almeria, Murcia and Alicante, where much of Britain’s imported icebergs, broccoli and artichokes come from. Yields for all three crops are down by about 25 per cent.

Thermometer in world’s coldest village breaks as temperatures plunge to -62C

The thermometer in a remote Siberian village known as the coldest inhabited place on earth has broken as temperatures plunged to near-record depths.

The public device, which was installed in Oymyakon as a tourist attraction, recorded -62C, before malfunctioning this week.

Meanwhile the Siberian Times reports that some locals had readings as low as -67C – in touching distance of the record -67.7C, which was logged in the village in February 1933.

Yet it is still some way off the coldest temperature ever recorded on the planet, which was -94.7C captured by a NASA satellite in east Antarctica in 2013.

It’s so cold at the Winter Olympics that skiers are being forced to throw away their expensive skis after practice runs

  • Coaches threw away skis after Wednesday’s practice runs at the Winter Olympics.
  • Cold temperatures can cause snow crystals to form sharp edges and ruin the bottom of skis.
  • Temperatures during the practice runs in the morning were in the single digits Fahrenheit.
  • Six people were recently treated for hypothermia during a concert held at the stadium that will be used for Friday’s opening ceremony.

The skiing events at the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea, have not started yet, but the brutally cold weather is already having an adverse effect on the skiers, some of whom are being forced to throw away their skis after practice runs.

A course worker at the Winter Olympics told Rory Carroll of Reuters that coaches were throwing skis away after practice runs on Wednesday.

“One of the coaches said they are throwing the skis out after today,” said Craig Randell, a start-crew technician who is working his third Olympics, told Reuters. “You can’t do anything about it, but with the cold temperatures, the snow adheres to the ski base and twists it. They are turning their skis to garbage real fast.”

Coldest Super Bowl ever gives fans a bone-chilling experience

MINNEAPOLIS — A New England Patriots fan who could see her breath as she talked outside U.S. Bank Stadium before Super Bowl LII noted she would be in select company.

“We’re going to be able to say that we went to the coldest Super Bowl ever,’’ Lisa Brown of Canton, Mass., told USA TODAY Sports.

It was a unique and bone-chilling experience — inside U.S. Bank Stadium, about 70 degrees. Outside, as Lisa Brown and her son, Bob, could attest, it was, well … FREEZING!

The temperature hovered just above zero and wind chill made it feel about minus-20 degrees.

A look at the UAH satellite-based Temperature of the Global Lower Atmosphere (the exact place where AGW is supposed to occur and be measured) for January gives a clue as to the brutally cold NH winter …

THE Planet Continues To Cool After An El Niño Induced String Of Warm Years

A La Niña equatorial Pacific Ocean cooling event is making itself felt in the atmosphere, dropping average temperatures in the tropics to their lowest point since June 2012 (-0.15 C), and temperatures in the Southern Hemisphere (+0.06 C) to their coolest since April 2015 (-0.01 C), according to Dr. John Christy, director of the Earth System Science Center (ESSC) at The University of Alabama in Huntsville.

The drop in tropical temperatures (0.38 C) from December to January tied for the third largest one-month drop in the 470 months of satellite temperature data. The largest was 0.51 C from September to October 1991, which followed the eruption of the Mount Pinatubo volcano in the Philippines. The second largest (0.41 C) was from July to August 2014.

THE more accurate and comprehensive UAH satellite temps (recorded by a NASA satellite) are in stark contrast to the spuriously ‘adjusted’ “Hottest Year Evah” graphs that come out of the hockey-stick halls of the gate-keepers of global temperature – NASA, NOAA, BoM and MetOffice…

FROM the real-world experiences evidenced in this post, which method of temperature gathering and reporting seems more accurate to you?

Some clues :

BASED on real-world evidence, it appears Mother Nature has either been taking massive doses of chemo to reverse her “atmosphere cancer” or Godin is merely another climate charlatan spreading a far more dangerous and real cancer – global warming alarmism based on belief, ideology and emotions, devoid of ‘science’, data and real-world observations.

GODIN would do well sending his CV to NASA GISS whose own version of ‘story telling’ has been critical in developing the fraudulent “hottest year evah” meme.

SNOWFALL Will Become “A Very Rare And Exciting Event…”

Snowfall will become “a very rare and exciting event.”
“Children just aren’t going to know what snow is.”
Dr David VinerSenior scientist, climatic research unit (CRU)

ONE of the more classic instances of global warming climate change fear-mongering, gone horribly wrong, direct from the mouth of esteemed climatologist Dr David Viner of the UK’s CRU, circa 2000.

THE catastrophic dud-prediction was reported by Charles Onians in the Independent’s most cited (now deleted) article – Snowfalls are now just a thing of the past:

However, the warming is so far manifesting itself more in winters which are less cold than in much hotter summers. According to Dr David Viner, a senior research scientist at the climatic research unit (CRU) of the University of East Anglia, within a few years winter snowfall will become “a very rare and exciting event”.

“Children just aren’t going to know what snow is,” he said.

SINCE Viner’s vapid verbal, Europe and much of the Northern Hemisphere has experienced some of the coldest winters on record, especially over the past five years, with plenty of snow to boot…

MOSCOW saw more than half its average monthly snowfall in the space of 24 hours with 17 inches blanketing the capital by Sunday morning. At least one man was killed, several injured and about 2000 trees collapsed due to the heaviest snowfall in Moscow since the beginning of the weather records, said meteorologists.

WILL the casualties be recorded as human CO2-induced, global warming climate change related? Or, do only “extreme heat” casualties make the cut?

THE Independent wasn’t alone in its failed snowfall predictions. Our most ‘trusted science’ agencies were parroting the same warmist propaganda…

CLIMATE’S holy body, the UN IPCC predicted diminished snowfalls as human CO2 increased:

AUSTRALIA’S ‘premier’ scientific body, the (warmist) CSIRO, jumped on the “end of snow” bandwagon in August 2003:

Simulations of future snow conditions in the Australian alpine regions were prepared for the years 2020 and 2050…

The low impact scenario for 2020 has a minor impact on snow conditions. Average season lengths are reduced by around five days. Reductions in peak depths are usually less than 10%, but can be larger at lower sites (e.g. Mt Baw Baw and Wellington High Plains).

The high impact scenario for 2020 leads to reductions of 30-40 days in average season lengths.  At higher sites such as Mt Hotham, this can represent reductions in season duration of about 25%, but at lower sites such as Mt Baw Baw the reduction can be more significant (up to 60%)…

We have very high confidence (at least 95%) that the low impact scenarios will be exceeded and the high impact scenarios will not be exceeded. (Page Not Found – LOL!)

2014, the New York Times signalled “The End of Snow”:

AND yet, climate realists (sceptics) are still smeared and slimed as the climate “deniers”. Rather telling when one considers the real-world evidence at hand.

AMID a Warming Planet, Snow Falls in Southern Morocco – First Time in 50 Years!

MUST be too cold for those earth-frying human emissions to have any effect…in Southern Morocco! 🤔

Watts Up With That?

After several decades of extremely dry weather, residents in southern regions of Morocco finally woke up this morning to an unusual snowfall that currently impacted Ouarzazate, Taroudant and even Zagora, which has not experienced snowfall for fifty years.

Several photos and videos have been posted on social media depicting the cities covered with a huge layer of snow. Despite the freezing cold temperatures, many residents went outside to enjoy the unexpected snowfall.

El Houcine Yoabd, in charge of communication at the National Meteorology, told the media outlet le 360, that it has snowed in these regions due to a mass of air coming from Northern Europe.

“We are under the influence of a very low pressure of altitude, with very cold temperatures that can reach 0 or even 1 degree,” Yoabd said.

He also added that these drops in temperature accompanied by rainfall and snowfall in several parts of…

AND the great global warming “pause” settles back into play!

Watts Up With That?

From Dr. Roy Spencer:

UAH Global Temperature Update for January, 2018: +0.26 deg. C

Coolest tropics since June, 2012 at -0.12 deg. C.

The Version 6.0 global average lower tropospheric temperature (LT) anomaly for January, 2018 was +0.26 deg. C, down from the December, 2017 value of +0.41 deg. C:

Global area-averaged lower tropospheric temperature anomalies (departures from 30-year calendar monthly means, 1981-2010). The 13-month centered average is meant to give an indication of the lower frequency variations in the data; the choice of 13 months is somewhat arbitrary… an odd number of months allows centered plotting on months with no time lag between the two plotted time series. The inclusion of two of the same calendar months on the ends of the 13 month averaging period causes no issues with interpretation because the seasonal temperature cycle has been removed as has the distinction between calendar months.

The global, hemispheric…
