When I was younger, many of us joked that someday Government would finagle a way to tax the very air we breath. Such would be the consummate interference with human freedom, a means of cementing a Marxist system of property control, the relegation of human capital to control and slavery. Taxing the air on the ludicrous ground that CO2 is somehow a pollutant (apparently plants have no botanical bill of rights) is the ultimate fraud. My apologies to the MARXISTS but they have now gone way too far with untenable stupidity, theft and fraud. As the great Mel Brooks might put it, they have gone past light speed all the way to plaid. Its ironic that film was about a rather extreme tax on air too. God bless my old friend Mel Brooks for reminding us all that POLITICIANS ARE ASSHOLES.

Well put. And, yes the bounds of absurdity, leading to genuine pain for the poorer in society, and small business are limitless in the domain of the new authoritarian elite pushing virtue beyond reason and existence.
